School of Health Sciences
Bachelor's Degree of Sciences in Nursing
The primary mission of the nursing program is to prepare nurse generalists who are key members of an interdisciplinary team that can have a positive impact on health care outcomes. With the current gaps in health care services, Puerto Rico needs well-trained nurses with increased knowledge and skills to provide care to those needing health care. The students in the Undergraduate Program are encouraged to maintain a holistic perspective in the health care they provide with a multidisciplinary and collaborative focus throughout the individuals life span. This program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and hold membership in the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).
